Summer Pitt, LAc, holds a Masters of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine from Dragon
Rises College in Gainesville, FL. She is working toward her Doctorate of Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine (DACM) from Pacific College of Health & Science.
She is board-certified with NCCAOM (National Certification Commission
for Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine). Summer is a Licensed Acupuncturist (LAc)
in the state of Tennessee.
Specialty Training
While at Dragon Rises College, she trained in the Shen-Hammer pulse
system, an in-depth diagnostic tool that can diagnose the entire body from the pulse. Summer was elected as her 2024 Class Commencement Speaker during her
graduation ceremony and was awarded the Rising Phoenix Award which acknowledged
her dedication and devotion to the field of acupuncture.
While in her final semester of clinic, Summer had the opportunity to complete an
externship with Laisha Canner, LAc, who is one of two lineage holders in the United
States of the Shen-Hammer pulse system. Here she learned so much about the pulse
system and how it can be used to confirm diagnoses.
Summer originally became interested in learning Chinese Medicine to assist women
with hormonal disorders. But once she realized how much of an inside-out approach
acupuncture is, now some of her favorite things to treat include anxiety, digestive
disease, and musculoskeletal pain (especially sciatica pain).
Before beginning her journey in Chinese Medicine, Summer held various roles in the nonprofit sector of Gainesville, FL and always felt a deep connection to helping those around her. During this time, she learned how to meet people where they’re at and how to make a connection to people from all walks of life. We’re all on this journey together!
Present Practice
Summer is passionate about helping everyone! She especially loves helping those who
experience chronic pain, endocrine issues, and mental health issues.

Summer is originally from Gainesville, FL. She has been a Florida resident most of her life and she is so excited to explore a whole new terrain! In her spare time, Summer
enjoys roller skating (yes, the quads!), cooking, thrifting, seeing live music and spending time with friends. She is a dog mom to one very spoiled girl named Honey.
